Elista City Court sentenced city administration worker Altan Ochirov to 3 years in prison in the «military fakes» case (Paragraphs B and E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The prosecutor requested for Ochirov 7 years in prison. Ochirov was charged with publications about looting and losses of the Russian army, as well as a video about the shooting of a car with Ukrainian pensioners by the Russian military in the Telegram channel Volny Ulus. According to the investigation, Ochirov created and administered this channel from his work computer. Ochirov did not deny his involvement in Volny Ulus but claimed that other people posted the publications he was accused of.
