Pressure is being put on Alnur Ilyashev, a civic activist who is in an investigation isolation cell by court order. Marat Turymbetov, a supporter of Alnur reported: “They are planting provocateurs in the cell and people who threaten him! We also learned that Alnur’s state of health has drastically worsened and he is not being given the necessary medical care! His chronic illness, asthma, has grown worse! The system is trying to break him or physically destroy him!” A criminal trial is under way in Ilyashev’s case. He is accused of disseminating deliberately false information under conditions of a state of emergency.
