The court of Almaty convicted civil activist Alnur Ilyashev to three years' of imprisonment, 100 hours of community service and a five-year ban on public activities on the charge of «spreading knowingly false information», aggravated by proliferation during the state of emergency. The accusation was based on his Facebook posts criticising the party of power «Nur Otan».
