On May 11 and 12, four Belarusian journalists – Mikhail Arshinski, Aljaksandr Burakou, Ales Asiptsou, and Zmitser Lupach – were arrested for ten days for alleged participation in protests they were covering. Mikhail was later added another 11 days on a second charge. Burakou said that after being detained on May 8, he spent three days in a temporary detention center in Mogilev. The first seven hours he spent in the so-called «glass», a room without windows with an area of 2.5 by 2.5 square meters, where it was cold and shoes were not allowed. Then the journalist was placed in a cell.
