The Investigative Committee opened a case against Krasnodar activist and SOTAvision correspondent Alipat Sultanbegova for repeated defamation of the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The ruling on the initiation of the case was sent to her by mail, after which Sultanbegova left Russia on the advice of her lawyers. The case was initiated because of the anti-war action on the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, during which Sultanbegova laid flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko and left signs with inscriptions «24.02.2022 — Day of Shame», «Forgive us Ukraine», and «Bucha, Irpin, Kyiv, Dnipro, Vinnitsa, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, Izyum, Hostomel».
