The Oktyabrski District Court of Mahiliou fined journalist Alina Skrebunova in absentia 30 base amounts (BYN 870). Judge Volha Krauchanka declared the journalist guilty of illegal production and distribution of media products (Part 3 of Article 23.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) on the basis of a police report. It turned out that the police considered the interview of about a minute long, which Alina gave in the story «Persecution of journalists in Mahiliou» to the TV channel Belsat, to be a media production. In the interview, Skrebunova told about the search, which the law enforcers conducted in her flat on March 5, as well as about the seizure of equipment.
