Aliaksei Zmushko was detained by the police on August 30 when he was filming a protest action in Rechytsa (protests in Belarus continued after the presidential election on August 9). He was taken to the police department, where he was drawn up a report for violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus), after which he was released. On September 17, the court found the photographer guilty and fined him ten basic amounts.
