It became known that the detained journalists Snyazhana Inanets and Aliaksandr Lychauka (they are spouses) were charged under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them). The article provides for up to four years of imprisonment. The journalists were transferred from the temporary detention facility on Akrestsina street to the detention center № 1 in Minsk. On October 7, a «video of repentance» appeared on one of the Telegram channels close to GUBOPiK. In the footage, the husband and wife are forced to say that they were subscribed to «destructive channels» and participated in mass protests in August 2020.
