On February 29, 2024, following the detention of religious figures of Old Crimea in Kirovskoe, journalist Ali Seytablayev was waiting for a court decision to carry out his assignment to cover the situation. He was detained by the officer of the Centre for Combating Extremism Shambazov and taken to the local police station. The journalist was subsequently released and issued two summonses to the military enrolment centre.
