The Cheryomushki District Court of Moscow has fined former editor-in-chief of Echo of Moscow Alexey Venediktov RUB 45,000 for publishing materials without the «foreign agent» marking (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The reason for the case was 12 unmarked posts, 11 of which were polls. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added Venediktov to the register of «foreign agents» in April 2022.
