Alexey Venediktov was subjected to a massive spam attack on his cell phone. He and many other journalists of independent media began receiving numerous calls and messages with registration confirmation codes for various services, including Gosuslugi, banks, and stores. Presumably, this was an attempt to hack into accounts. Journalists from TV Rain, Bumaga, Mediazona, 7x7, The Village, and Republic, among others, reported such attacks.
