Alexey Ponomarev, podcast editor at “Holod”, was denied entry into Georgia while returning to the country from Latvia. At Tbilisi airport, border guards held Ponomarev at the border for about half an hour. After this, he was given a document stating that he had been denied entry “for other reasons.” Ponomarev was then put on a plane back to Riga. “Holod” notes that the journalist has been living in Tbilisi for the last few months and rented an apartment there.
