The Regional Court upheld the decision of the Industrial District Court from June 11 that issued a fine of 3,000 rubles (40 USD) to the journalist for violating the "self-isolation regime". Melnikov was detained on May 9, when he was preparing an article about the meeting of the United Russia officials with residents of the dormitory and asked an uncomfortable question.
