The journalist spent the night at the Frunzensky District Police Department and three days in jail in Zhodzina. He was detained on the night of August 9-10 near the Gorky Theater in Minsk. The journalist was taken to a passenger bus, which stood next to the police van and was filled with people. The riot policemen started beating people severely. On the morning of August 10, they started to write out the reports. In the charges brought against the journalist, they wrote that he took part in an unauthorized event, shouted: «Zhyve Belarus», «Stop the cockroach», and was detained at 9 Bobruiskaya Street. However, according to him, he wasn’t there at all.
