Russian hosting provider Rutcenter has refused to host the website of the outlet Aspekty Bashkortostan. According to a notice from the provider, the domain delegation was terminated at the request of Roskomnadzor. Similar actions have been taken against the .ru domains of The Moscow Times and Republic, as well as those of journalist Dmitry Kolezev and blogger Alexey Eksler. On May 24, 2022, Roskomnadzor blocked access to Eksler's website in Russia on charges of spreading false information about Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Eksler is also included in the register of “foreign agents".
