The journalist was detained by the police after the end of the march of pensioners she was covering. She was taken to the police department, where she was accused of participating in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). She was held in the detention centre for two days until the trial. On November 18, the court found Kvitkevich guilty and arrested her for 15 days based on the police reports.
