Presnensky District Court fined Kalistratova a total of RUB 500,000 (USD 6,463.54) in August for her individual pickets in June outside the Moscow central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in support of arrested journalist Ilya Azar. She was found guilty in two cases of repeated violation of rules for participation in action (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). On October 30, the Moscow City Court upheld these decisions. The funds to pay the fines were collected by crowdfunding in one day.
