Additional information:

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has put journalist Alexandra Garmazhapova, founder of Free Buryatia Foundation, on a wanted list. She is wanted under an article of the Criminal Code, but it is not specified under which one. Probably, the case against her could have been initiated under the article on «fakes» about the army of the Russian Federation (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). Alexandra Garmazhapova worked as a political columnist for Fontanka and Novaya Gazeta. Later, the journalist founded the Free Buryatia Foundation, which helps servicemen from the region to break their contracts and return from «special operations» in Ukraine. Now Alexandra is not in Russia. On August 19, 2023, the Sovetsky District Court of Ulan-Ude received the materials of the criminal case. Garmazhapova, who left the country, is accused in absentia of spreading «fakes» about the actions of the Russian army out of political hatred.
