Early in the morning, police came to search the homes of employees of the independent news agency BelaPAN. Deputy editor Alexander Zaitsev's mobile phone, hard drive, tablet, editorial ID and several business cards were taken during the search. According to Zaitsev, the hour-long search was carried out as part of a criminal case related to gross violations of public order (Article 342 of the Criminal Code). Zaitsev’s procedural status was not explained to him, though he was not detained.
