Former editor-in-chief of the media outlet BlogSochi Alexander Valov, who is serving a six-year prison sentence in an extortion case, told his lawyer Mikhail Benyash at his trial for administrative supervision that he had been beaten up. The lawyer sent a request to IK-14 in the Irkutsk Region to provide him with documents on the journalist’s disciplinary actions, to which he received a reply that Valov was transferred to IK-6 in the same region on January 24 «for medical treatment».
