The 2nd Western District Military Court of Moscow sentenced Alexander Strukov to 8 years in a general regime colony and a fine of RUB 200,000 with a ban on administering websites for two years after his release. The photographer was found guilty of public calls to terrorism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), incitement to hatred or enmity (Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as insulting the feelings of believers (Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Strukov cooperated with the Moscow headquarters of Alexey Navalny. He was arrested in January 2022 for comments under posts in the Telegram channel of the media outlet Znak.com.
