The police detained the journalist when he was working at a protest rally in Mogilev. He was taken to the police department and drawn up a report on violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The journalist was held in the detention center for three days until the trial. On September 16, the court returned the administrative case for revision, and the journalist was released. Still, before that, the convoy took Sobolevsky to the regional department of forensic examinations, where he was photographed «from all angles» and fingerprinted. The journalist considers these actions of the police as an attempt of pressure.
