The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has added Alexander Ryklin to the register of «foreign agents». The Ministry said in a statement that the publicist «took part in the creation of messages and materials of foreign agents for an unlimited number of people, disseminated inaccurate information about the decisions taken by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policy pursued by them, as well as in relation to the armed forces of the Russian Federation». Ryklin left Russia in 2022. His online media outlet Ezhednevny Zhurnal has been blocked since 2014.
