Security officials arrested at least 43 media workers on October 11 while covering protests against the presidential election results. The journalist was arrested in the city centre during the day and taken to the police department «to check the documents». He was drawn up an administrative report for alleged disobedience to the police (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). His photo camera, flash drives, and cell phone were confiscated «for inspection» until the trial. He was held in the department for about 10 hours, after which he was released.
