A journalist covering the trial of the Khachaturian sisters reported threats from Mikhail Khachaturian's relatives. After a hearing in the Butyrsky District Court, one of the relatives of the murdered man threatened Alexander Platitsyn. Other journalists writing about the Khachaturian sisters' case were also threatened.
