Journalist Alexander Peskov was detained on March 25. After he was released, it became known that he became a suspect under Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (insulting a representative of the authorities) for insulting the law enforcer who searched his and the editor of Sota Darya Poryadina’s apartments. On March 23, Peskov’s apartment was searched, then he was detained and taken to the Investigative Committee for questioning. Alexander remained in the status of a witness in the case of extremism in connection with the activities of Alexey Navalny: the order to search their apartments was issued back on January 25 by the Basmanny Court of Moscow.
