On May 9, the journalist was detained by the police when, on the instructions of the editorial board, he was covering the Antiparad action of motorists in Babruysk. He was accused of violating the law on mass events. Before the trial, he was taken to Mogilev to a temporary detention center. On May 12, the court found him guilty and arrested for 10 days. As a sign of disagreement, Osiptsov went on a hunger strike.
