A criminal case was opened against Alexander and Lydia Nevzorov for financing extremist activities (part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code). It is alleged that the Nevzorovs, “recognised as an extremist association”, “posted links to collect funds to achieve the association's goals, as well as to transfer funds to them personally.” Alexander Nevzorov has been declared a “foreign agent” in Russia and sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison on charges of spreading military “fake news” (part 2, clause “d” of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). At the request of the prosecutor's office, the court confiscated the Nevzorovs' land, house, car, and their shares in an LLC.
