The Vostochny District Military Court is considering the case of Vladivostok-based TikTok blogger Alexander Nemenok, who is accused of justifying terrorism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The case is being conducted by the Federal Security Service. Nemenok is being prosecuted because of four videos in TikTok criticising Vladimir Putin and speaking against war. The persecution of the blogger began in May 2022: after a search and interrogation, he was released, but without equipment and money. In September, Nemenok was sent to a pre-trial detention center, where he spent two months. Then, he was send under house arrest.
