Alexander Kamenyuk’s apartment was searched in the case of defamation (Article 138.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and insulting a representative of the authorities (Part 2 of Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The case was initiated in connection with the September YouTube video «About the work of the Kamchatka Krai Prosecutor’s Office», which allegedly «defames the honor and dignity of prosecutors» and «undermines their business reputation». He did not let them into the apartment and started live streaming on Instagram from the entrance of the building. Kamenyuk explained that there was no court decision to search his apartment. He was shown the decision of the investigator, which says that on October 12, a criminal case was opened against Kamenyuk and Filatov under the articles «insulting a representative of authority» and «libel».
