Yevpatoriya City Court sentenced blogger Alexander Dolzhenkov, who the Federal Security Service accused of «creating an extremist community» for creating a group in the social network, the purpose of which was de-occupation of Crimea, to one year of jail in a general regime penal colony. According to the court, Dolzhenkov allegedly «admitted his guilt in full, repented of what he had done» and «realized the fallacy of his beliefs». On September 22, 2020, the Federal Security Service announced the detention of a 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen and a 28-year-old resident of Yevpatoria in occupied Crimea for alleged «extremist activities» on the peninsula. Kievsky District Court of Simferopol chose for them preventive measures in the form of arrest.
