The Telegram channel Baza and the media outlet Novaya Versiya received fake letters on behalf of Marokhovskaya. The letters were sent from an e-mail address at the domain istory.media, which was disguised as Marokhovskaya’s work email at istories.media. The fake emails contained claims about the use of one of Marokhovskaya’s materials. Earlier, the journalist was included in the register of «foreign agents».
