Together with his colleague Tatyana Felgenhauer, Aleksandr Plyushchev was detained near the Ministry of Internal Affairs Head Office on Petrovka Street, where a series of individual pickets in support of journalist Ilya Azar, arrested for 15 days, was being held. Plyushchev and Felgenhauer had been detained before that as picketers. This time they were without banners and showed press cards. The police illegally demanded their editorial assignments. Later, the journalists were released from the Khamovniki police department with apologies.
