On March 3, the Sovetsky District Court of Minsk sentenced Hruzdzilovich, who cooperated with Radio Svaboda, to 1.5 years in jail — he was found guilty of gross violation of order (Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus). According to the prosecution, as reported by the journalists, Hruzdzilovich was accused of participating in the rally when he had been deprived of his accreditation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a foreign media correspondent. During the interrogation, Hruzdzilovich pleaded not guilty and said that he did not take part in the rally, but was a freelance worker of the Narodnaya Volya newspaper and conducted a report.
