Aleh Hruzdzilovich was charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (organisation and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order or active participation in them). The first interrogation of Hruzdzilovich took place in the detention centre № 1 on Volodarskogo Street in Minsk, where the journalist was kept after his detention on December 23. It is known that he is accused of participating in an «unauthorised action». The investigation believes that he could not be there as a journalist, as he was deprived of accreditation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Hruzdzilovich says he attended the action as a freelancer of the Belarusian media outlet Narodnaya Volya.
