Aktamak Koptleuova, a member of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) was subjected to rude treatment by police at a police department in Aktobe, where she was forcibly taken to be interrogated as a witness in a criminal case. Besides that, the police were about to take away her press card issued by the IFJ, which they considered to be fake. Protesting the order to confiscate the document for examination, Koptleuova sat on the concrete floor of the police hallway for several hours. The document was returned to the blogger on the condition that she would not be entitled to use it until the end of the pre-trial investigation.
