It has become known that a new criminal case has been opened against Aksana Kolb, former editor of the newspaper Novy Chas. According to the journalist, the case was initiated by the Investigative Committee in Brest, allegedly for “descriditation” and “assisting extremist activity”. There is currently no detailed information about the specific articles of the Criminal Code, the grounds for the prosecution, or the substance of the charges. Since the summer of 2022, Kolb has been living abroad in forced exile.
