The Minister of Culture and Sport Dauren Abayev tried to embarrass journalist Ainur Koskina with ambiguous clarifications. The journalist tried to ask Abayev questions about the construction of a hotel in the Bozzhyra tract in the Mangistau region. The Minister kept interrupting her, asking whether she had been to the tract and whether she had been above or below and where she liked it best, which sounded ambiguous and had sexual connotations. In doing so, the Minister repeated the phrase at least six times. Koskina later reported on social media that Abayev apologised to her on the phone for the way his words sounded and assured her that he was referring only to a tourist attraction.
