Ainur Koskina, the journalist of Vesti.kz, posted a video on Instagram titled «About the attitude to the media in New Kazakhstan» about the fact that several media representatives were not able to cover the voting of President Tokayev because of the long inspection by the state security service. Ainur reported that she was attacked by bots in the comment section below the post. Comments such as «their own fault» were written mostly from accounts with several subscribers and subscriptions and single publications.
