The 2nd Western District Military Court has received the case of journalist Aider Muzhdabayev, who emigrated to Ukraine, under the article on calls to terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The case was initiated in 2019 because of two Facebook posts in which Muzhdabayev called for «forcefully seizing Russian agents» and exchanging them for political prisoner film director Oleg Sentsov. That same year, Muzhdabayev was added to Rosfinmonitoring’s list of «terrorists», and in 2020, Russia put him on an international wanted list.
