Another media worker has been arrested in Baku in connection with the “Meydan TV case.” According to APA, photojournalist Ahmad Mukhtar was detained, and a court has ordered his pre-trial detention based on the investigative body’s request. This follows a series of arrests: in December last year, journalists Ramin Deko (Jabrayilzade), Aynur Elgunes (Gambarova), Aytaj Tapdiq (Ahmadova), Natiq Javadli, Khayala Agayeva, Ulvi Tahirov, and Aysel Umudova were all taken into custody and placed under pre-trial detention. In February, Shamshad Agha, editor-in-chief of “Arqument.az,” along with journalists Fatima Movlamli and Nurlan Gahramanli (Libre), were also arrested. In March, journalist Ulviyya Ali (Quliyeva) was likewise placed in pre-trial detention.
