Journalist Ahmadshoh Komilzoda has been sentenced to 18 years in jail. He and several other political activists were found guilty of plotting high treason by the Supreme Court of Tajikistan. 9 people was charged in connection with the case, including journalist Rukshona Khakimova. She was sentenced to 8 years in jail despite her two young children, and she was taken into custody immediately after the sentence was handed down.
