The head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Shodi Khafizzoda said at a press conference on July 19 that the detained Tajik blogger and journalist Abdusattor Pirmukhammadzoda is suspected of extremist activity and a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 307 (public calls for extremist activities and public justification of extremism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan was opened against him. According to him, Pirmukhammadzoda is currently in a detention center.
