Tajik journalist Abdusattor Pirmukhammadzoda was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Abdusattor’s brother Abdukarim Pirmukhammadzoda told Asia Plus about it. According to him, the verdict of the Ismoili Somoni District Court was passed on December 26 in the capital detention center. Relatives of the journalist said that they had not yet received a copy of the verdict, but they know that the blogger has been found guilty under Part 2 of Article 307(3) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan (organization of activities of an extremist organization).
