An independent journalist was invited to the General Prosecutor's Office for interrogation about an expert survey in which he had taken part. The topic concerned relations between Tajikistan and China. Some of the people who also took part in the survey were arrested, in particular, the political analyst Shokirjon Khakimov. Fearing arrest, the journalist was forced to temporarily leave Tajikistan. It is also known that the journalist's personal bank accounts were arrested.
