The reporter Abdumalik Bazarbaev was covering the parliamentary elections near the polling station in Osh when suddenly a man ran up to him, who began using obscene language and using physical force, demanded that the journalist stop filming. «Do you want to fight? ..... Why do you come and say that I have to show you something? Who gave you such rights? Bro, stay away», – said one of the attackers. The media later reported that the attackers were representatives of Aibek Osmonov, a candidate in the Osh single-mandate constituency №7. On November 28, 2021, parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan. The previous election was invalidated after mass protests amid numerous violations in October 2020. This was followed by the change of government, the change in the country's constitution, and the introduction of innovations to the electoral system.
