The journalist was forced to resign from Radio Ozodi and leave Prague, where he had lived and worked for several years. According to him, he had already been endangering the lives of his parents and other relatives who remained in Dushanbe for several years. They were under constant pressure and were constantly threatened with death if the journalist did not stop working for Radio Ozodi. Tired of this pressure, his relatives persuaded him to quit. The journalist himself and his family would not return to Tajikistan for fear of persecution.
