On December 23, unknown persons beat up Abdukodir Muminov, blogger and author of the YouTube channel Ko'zgu. He had previously criticised the authorities and said he was planning to create a new political party. There were about five attackers. The attackers also damaged the car and took away a phone, a video recorder from the car, and a flash drive. The police opened a case under Article 164 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
