The editorial office of the internet portal 365info.kz received a claim from Murat Tankeyev, who was sentenced in 2016 to 9 years in a penal colony for a road accident that killed 4 people. Tankeyev through his representatives demanded from the media to remove the materials of 2015-2016 about the fatal road accident with his participation, as it is not a deliberate crime, and the publication of information about the road accident is defamatory to his honour, dignity, and business reputation. The authors of the letter warned journalists that if their demands are not met, they are ready to file a claim with the civil court for the protection of honour and dignity, as well as to bring the editorial board to criminal responsibility for «illegal collection of information about the private life of a person, constituting his personal or family secret, without his consent». The editorial board emphasised that it would not remove the articles about Tankeyev.
