During the trial in the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, where the motion of the Prosecutor General's Office to stop broadcasting of the Next TV channel in Kyrgyzstan was considered, journalists' work was restricted. Before the beginning of the session, the state prosecutor asked judge Ainura Satarova to admonish media representatives, particularly journalists representing the 24.kg news agency. Even though the trial was open, the prosecutor said that the 24.kg portal had published a news story about the trial with a photo from the courtroom. «It is not allowed to take photos of the trial participants. Please admonish journalists», – the state prosecutor said. The chairwoman of the trial supported the prosecutor and asked the representatives not to publish photos with the faces of those present at the court session.
